Jazmyne Terrell is a curator and cultural worker who engages film as one among many expressive mediums — a tool for feeling, remembering, resisting, and imagining. Her practice is rooted in a feminist ethic shaped by Blackness, where self-love and self-respect are not optional, but vital acts of survival and transformation. Holding June Jordan’s 1978 question “Where is the love?” at the heart of their work, they curate not only films, but moments of connection, confrontation, and possibility. Their vision is grounded in a belief in liberation for all. A liberation that is collective, imperfect, embodied, and ongoing.
